Stake & Unstake

Use Stake / Unstake to enter or exit the yield-participating state of an Overlaid Asset.

Staking gives you shares in the corresponding staking position. Unstaking converts those shares back into the base Overlaid Asset, or can be combined with redemption to return directly to the underlying stablecoin. The amount received depends on the current conversion ratio.

You can enter staking with either a base Overlaid Asset or its underlying stablecoin, and choose either asset when exiting:

UnstakesT+T+
Unstake + RedeemsT+USDT

The examples below use the USDT family. The same principles apply to other supported asset families.

Stake an Overlaid Asset

Choose this path when you already hold a base Overlaid Asset, such as T+, and want to participate in its staking yield.

  1. Open Stake / Unstake from the sidebar and select Stake.
  2. Under Amount you send, select the base Overlaid Asset. Check that Amount you receive shows its corresponding staked representation.
  3. Enter the amount. Review the staked tokens you will receive, the displayed Exchange Rate and Gas Fee.
  4. Complete the token approval in your wallet if requested.
  5. Select Stake and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Once staking is complete, you receive the corresponding Staked Overlaid Asset. Yield allocated to that position is reflected in the amount of base assets represented by your shares, rather than an increasing number of staked tokens.

Stake directly from a stablecoin

You can also start with the underlying stablecoin and receive the staked representation directly. For example, USDT → sT+ combines minting and staking in one transaction, without requiring a separate mint operation.

In the Stake tab, select USDT instead of T+ under Amount you send. Enter the amount and review the sT+ shown under Amount you receive. Complete any required approval, then select Stake and confirm in your wallet.

Both entry paths produce the same sT+ token and participate in the same staking position. The direct path simply combines the two conversions.

Understand the amount you receive

Staking is not necessarily a 1:1 exchange. The Exchange Rate in the asset panel shows how much of the base Overlaid Asset each staked token represents.

For example, at a ratio of 1 sT+ = 1.10 T+, staking 110 T+ gives you 100 sT+, ignoring rounding. Those 100 sT+ represent the same 110 T+ deposited: receiving fewer tokens does not, by itself, mean a loss or fee.

The conversion ratio also determines how much T+ you receive when unstaking.

For share accounting and worked examples, see Staked Overlaid Assets.

Unstake

Unstaking converts your shares at the current conversion ratio, including the yield already reflected in their value. There is no fixed staking lock period.

  1. Open Stake / Unstake and select Unstake.
  2. Under Amount you send, select the Staked Overlaid Asset, such as sT+.
  3. Under Amount you receive, choose the corresponding base Overlaid Asset or its underlying stablecoin: T+ or USDT in this example.
  4. Enter the amount. Review the asset and quantity you will receive, together with the displayed Gas Fee.
  5. Select Unstake and confirm the required wallet requests.

Receive the base Overlaid Asset

Choose T+ to leave the staking position while keeping the base Overlaid Asset. You can hold it, transfer it or use it elsewhere.

sT+ → Unstake → T+

Receive the underlying stablecoin directly

Choose USDT to combine unstaking and redemption in the same flow. You receive the underlying stablecoin directly, without completing a separate redemption from T+ afterward.

sT+ → Unstake + Redeem → USDT

note

The stablecoin amount reflects the current value of your staking shares, followed by the base asset's 1:1 redemption relationship. It is not a 1:1 exchange between sT+ and USDT.

For redeeming a base Overlaid Asset separately, see Mint & Redeem.
